The Okitu House By Pete Bossley

Pete Bossley designed the beach house which is called The Okitu House. This house is located in where people dream to live in. This beach beauty is located on a ridge above the east coast with spectacular views from Poverty Bay right round to Tatapouri Point in New Zealand. In the balcony, we can see the beautiful view that can give the peaceful in our mind.

This house is designed to accommodate the comfortable feeling, when the family live there, eventhough there just two or three people inside. T-shaped plan of the house has essentially two wings, one of which could be closed down. this house also has sheltered outdoor area protected from the easterly and nor-easterly winds, but we can still see the view from ransparent living wing. The landscaping and terracing extend horizontally from the house to ground, the house to the site and also to create a series of layered exterior spaces.
